Disney Happy With EA’s Handling of Star Wars

Weekly News Roundup Issue #41 - Disney tomfoolery

Yes you read that correctly. Any gamer worth his salt will tell you EA’s handling of the Star Wars licence has been nothing short of outrageous. According to Disney CEO Bob Iger however, all is just peachy. This is a great shame for many gamers as, for a while there, rumblings emerged that Disney and EA would split, opening up opportunities for far more talented teams to get back to releasing Star Wars games like the good old days. In other words - more than one in two years. Check out our coverage on shame of the week, right here at KeenGamer.

Turns Out Crime Doesn’t Pay In GTA V After All

Weekly News Roundup Issue #41 - GTA V lawsuit

When a man develops a paid-for system that allows GTA V Online players to get wads of money, subverting the in-game economy… well, that man stands to profit quite a lot. In the end, Rockstar and Take Two Interactive realised Johnny Perez and his hustle made a mockery of their in-game economy and, oh boy, has he had to pay. While Johnny’s little side hustle may have seemed like gaming criminal genius for a while back there, in the here and now, he’s likely regretting every second of his days of profit. Mortal Kombat X arrival, the gooey and gross bug queen D'vorah has also been confirmed.
