The game that won Best RPG at last week's Game Awards has a brand new expansion coming in 2019. Monster Hunter World: Iceborne will introduce a new area for exploration as well as new equipment, monsters, and quest ranks for those of you who need something new in your monster hunting lives. Check out the trailer below.
Another big surprise is that Geralt of Rivia from The Witcher series will be making an appearance in MHW. We don't quite know why or how he's here. Witchers do hunt monsters for a living anyway so I guess it shouldn't be too surprising but it's a welcome crossover.
Otherwise, we're a little light on details so far. The end of the aforementioned trailer has a few little bits at the end. Iceborne will feature a new story set after the events of Monster Hunter World. The current release date for Iceborne is Autumn 2019 while The Witcher crossover is listed as "Early 2019" according to its separate trailer below. Otherwise, I think I need to jump back and slay some more monsters to get ready. Charge sword is the best weapon, don't message me.
