Despite having to compete with the world wide phenomenon, Fortnite, Players Unknown Battleground: Mobile is still going strong. It recently had a crossover event with the major motion picture, Mission Impossible: Fallout. The next crossover event has been announced, not from the PUBG developers themselves, but instead on the Japanese Twitter account for Resident Evil 2 Remake.
The tweet roughly translates to "PUBG MOBILE × Resident Evil RE: 2 collaboration is decided! What kind of innovative play can be produced by combining the world's most popular mobile game and survival horror's monument, two super IPs?" Included with the tweet was a short grainy clip, featuring frightening locations and scenes of zombies attacking from Resident Evil 2.
There was no release date or other details given on the crossover. It could be speculated that since Resident Evil 2 Remake releases late next month, the crossover may release around the same time to help as cross promotion for both games.
