Getting The 3 Original Starters In Let’s Go!

If you ever played Pokemon Yellow you would know that you can obtain the 3 main starters everyone knows and loves; Bulbasaur, Squirtle, and Charmander!

Getting The 3 Original Starters In Let's Go!
Pokemon, Let's Go! Is a remaster of the original Pokemon Yellow. You go on an adventure to capture and train all 151 Pokemon. Some of these are easier to find and capture than others such as Pidgey and Rattata. These Pokemon are average at most but many people will want to get the original 3 starters from Pokemon Red and Green. These 3 Pokemon include Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle and are quite hard to find out in the wilderness of Let's Go. This guide will show you how to quickly obtain all 3 of these original Pokemon.

Bulbasaur

To obtain Bulbasaur you must have caught at least a total of 30 Pokemon. Once you have completed this step head to Cerulean City where gym leader Misty is located. Once in Cerulean city head to the first building on the left of the Pokemon Centre. Once inside this building you should see an NPC with a Bulbasaur in front of her, simply speak with her. Congratulations, you are now the proud owner of a Bulbasaur!

This Bulbasaur will be level 12 and know Tackle, Growl, Leech Seed and Vine Whip.

I recommend using this Bulbasaur to help you clear Nugget Bridge as it will gain a large amount of EXP and really help you with defeating the gym leader Misty.

Bulbasaur can also be caught in the wild in Viridian Forest but is a rare sight and unreliable encounter.

Charmander

Obtaining Charmander is very similar to Bulbasaur. Once you have caught 50 Pokemon you will be able to find an NPC located just north of the Nugget Bridge with a Charmander in front of him. Again speak to this NPC and you will be given Charmander.

Charmander will be level 14 and know Scratch, Growl, Smokescreen and Ember.

Charmander will be one of your greatest assets for taking on Erika at Celadon Gym later on in the game. This is the grass type gym and having a high level fire type such as Charmander will make it a cake walk.

You can attempt to catch Charmander in the wild in the Rock Tunnels.

Squirtle

Squirtle is a little later on in the game as you won't be able to receive them until you have 60 Pokemon and are in Vermillion City which isn't accessible until after you have defeated Misty. Once in Vermillion City you go to the right of the Pokemon Centre and you will see Officer Jenny just hanging out with a Squirtle. Speak to her and she will gladly hand it over to you.

Squirtle will be level 16 and know Tackle, Tail Whip, Bubble and Withdraw.

This Squirtle won't really be needed until later on in the game when you face off against Blaine on Cinnabar Island. He is the fire type gym leader and is no push over. Having a high level or evolved Squirtle will make him seem easy so keep that in mind.

Squirtle can be found in the wild wandering around on Route 24 or in the Seafoam Islands.

Hopefully, this guide makes your quest to be the very best like no one ever was a little bit easier. If I've left any locations out feel free to comment and I'll add them!
