Physics Make It Hard To Stay On Your Horse in RDR2’

One of the most highly anticipated games of the year has finally arrived and Red Dead Redemption II has lots of attention to detail. There is so much that you can do that even crashing and falling off of your horse, whether intentional or not, is even something that can be fun to watch at times.

RDR2’s Physics Make It Hard To Stay On Your Horse
Rockstar Games’ highly anticipated title Red Dead Redemption II is only a few days old now, and already there are thousands of videos and images from players sharing their amazing experiences while playing the game.

The entire game is just one massive, open world sandbox where you can do just about whatever you like and anything can happen to you. Plus, thanks to its beautifully crafted (but sometimes buggy) physics engine, some fun and unexpected things can occur to Arthur and even his horse.

Reddit users have been flooding the r/gaming subreddit posting about their experiences. It appears that some people are having some trouble staying on their horses from time to time. By either not paying attention or trying to move their horse in a direction too quickly, players can crash into even the smallest of objects and fly off their mounts in the most amusing and spectacular ways.

Here are a few highlights of RDR2's amazing physics at work below.

It seems that not even the NPC’s are safe from this, which just shows how much attention to detail Rockstar Games have put into the game.

I have been playing through the game since launch myself and I’ve found it difficult to control my horse every now and then, but that has mostly been due to high-stress situations taking place – like shootouts or races – and I’ve forgotten to slow my horse down or just not watch where I’m going, which ultimately leads to Arthur dramatically doing a few flips or cartwheels in the air along with his horse. Though it can be annoying, that doesn't mean it's any less enjoyable to watch.

Red Dead Redemption II is available now for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
