In anticipation of the film's upcoming Japanese debut on January 12, the official website for the Fate/stay night Heaven's Feel ii.lost butterfly revealed a new key visual showcasing some of the movie's returning characters as well as fans' first proper look at Saber Alter.
Found below, the trilogy's female protagonist, Sakura Matou, is evidenced alongside the likes of Shirou Emiya, Rin Tohsaka, Rider, and Gilgamesh. It seems that Illyasviel will play a more prominent role this time around, given her familiar's mammoth presence on the visual:
Aniplex of America is expected to release the film stateside sometime in 2019. The previous film in the series, presage flower, debuted at first place in the Japanese box office when it released in October 2017. It went on to earn an estimated total of 1.5 billion yen, which equates to roughly $13.5 million dollars in the United States.
