Fortnite: Season 4 – Everything You Need To Know

Fortnite: Season 4 has finally arrived today and the fabled comet that comes with it. We’ve known for some time that the mysterious comet was on the way but it was only yesterday that Epic Games confirmed it would be landing tomorrow. In a game like this, we should also expect a bunch of new content and changes to Fortnite’s Battle Royale map. Here’s everything you need to know before impact.

Fortnite: Season 4 - Everything You Need To Know

Regardless of whether or not you’ve jumped on for Season 4 yet, you could be forgiven for not knowing the entirety of what’s on offer in this latest update. As most of us are aware by now, this season revolves largely around superheroes. There’s seven new skins for them. We’ve also got a brand new “Save The World Mode” where our superheroes come into play with a new quest line called Blockbuster. Part 1: Origin Story sees Spitfire and Lok attempting to recruit a team of superheroes to investigate the comet's landing

As for the map itself, Epic Games explains in their official patch notes, “shards of a massive comet have crashed into the map altering the landscape.” If a player finds any one of these crash sites, they’ll be able to collect Hop Rocks, allowing them to jump massive distances. As you can see in the image below, Dusty Divot gets its own new place name but other, smaller craters are littered on the map. Tilted Towers seems to have survived the onslaught from the stars.

I wrote an entire paragraph long list of things not mentioned. For some reason it was deleted. Can you please tell me who and/or why it was deleted?

There’s no mention of the free tiers from owning last battle pass, no mention of the cost of this battle pass which is incredibly important for something claiming to be everything someone needs to know, no mention of the segmented armor that you unlock for specific character skins, no mention of weapon changes specifically the shotguns, no mention of newly added spray tagging, no mention of Orange Justice and the Boogie Down contest, no mention of dozens of changed map locations and the underground bunkers within several of them, no mention of full emote wheels being added, no mention of level 100 challenges, no mention of rewards from level 100 challenges……. This is quite literally a 9 sentence click bait…
