If you’ve played a few rounds of Fortnite: Battle Royale whether it be PC or console, you must have noticed that there’s one particular area on the map that draws players to it like a black hole. Yes, we’re talking about Tilted Towers. The infamous high-loot, high-action area has the ability to attract players like a moth to a flame. However, just like the fire, Tilted Towers will burn you and burn you again and again if you don’t know how to handle it properly. So here are some tips on surviving Fortnite’s most dangerous drop zone.
Land Together or Land Alone
If you’re playing Duos or Squads, you MUST land together. LAND ON THE SAME BUILDING. I never understood why people chose to play in team mode if they’re just going to land somewhere completely random anyways. This is even more important when you’re landing in the most fire-heavy drop zone in the game.
If you’re playing Solos on the other hand, try landing alone. Land somewhere where you don’t see other people. Landing in a central building where 5 other people landed is a sure way to die quickly.
Don’t Be Afraid to Wait It Out
We’ve all heard that camping is for newbs, well it’s also for survivors. So especially when you’re relatively new to the game, set your pride aside and don’t be afraid to wait in any given building until you hear things quiet down a little bit outside.
Find a gun, slurp some potions and take a peek through some windows or over the roof of the building to find players who are also alone and try picking people off one-by-one. If you’re playing Duos or Squads try to find people who are already engaging each other, wait for one party to be eliminated and move in on the weakened team. If this means you have to wait a minute or two for a few players to be eliminated so be it.
How to Land Faster on the Clock Tower
A very popular building in Tilted Towers is the Clock Tower along the edge of the area. The reason being that there are usually 2 to 3 chests guaranteed to be within it. As well, it gives players a good vantage point to see which areas are safe and which to avoid. You must have seen people land on the tower and mine through it’s roof to get to its viewing area.
However, there is a faster way to land within it and that is by letting yourself drop ever so slightly just below it’s roof and land on the edge of its window frame. There is no actual glass pane so you can crouch and walk right in like you own the place!
