President Trump To Meet With Members Of Video Game Industry

Whatever you may think of him, President Donald Trump, will meet members of the video game industry next week, in the wake of the recent school shooting in Parkland, Florida that cost the lives of seventeen people. But, for some absurd reason, President Trump decided to blame the shooting on video games, despite signing out the law, made by President Obama, which prevented gun sales to the mentally ill.

President Trump To Meet With Members Of Video Game Industry
White House Press Secretary, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, confirmed today that Trump would meet with video game representatives in response to a question by Reporter Zeke Miller, where he asked why the president was unable to get legislators to “bend to his will” on matters of gun control. “I don’t think it’s necessarily about ‘bending to his will,’” Sanders said in response to Miller's question. “I think it’s about an ongoing discussion about the best pieces of legislation that they can put forward. Yesterday was certainly an important part of that.

In regards to the shooting itself, Trump said “The video games, the movies, the internet stuff is so violent. It’s so incredible,” Trump said, during the same meeting yesterday with lawmakers. “I see it. I get to see things that you would be — you’d be amazed at. I have a young — very young son who — I look at some of the things he’s watching, and I say, ‘How is that possible?’ And this is what kids are watching." Of course, Trump's claims are ludicrous, as video games, which are rated by the ESRB, did not cause a mentally ill person to walk into a store and buy an AR-15, with minimal background checks. Whether the gun laws in America will change, I hope so, but whether they will, I highly doubt it.
