Call of Duty WWII Winter Siege Update Now Live

The first seasonal update for Call of Duty: WWII is here. A British Special Operations officer named “Captain Butcher” has come to your newly redesigned Headquarters and replaced your current Quartermaster with new items for you to collect. Winter Carentan, a seasonal version of the season pass bonus map Carentan has also been added. It wouldn’t be a holiday update without a couple presents, so five new weapons are coming as part of this update. The Gewehr 43, Sten, GPMG, Ice Pick, and Trench Knife can be obtained by completing collections or using armory credits.

Each week of the seasonal event, you’ll receive a free Winter Supply Drop. From what we’ve seen so far, it seems like there’s going to be a good amount of content in this event to keep you busy. Personally I’m really happy about the Gewehr 43 coming to the game. It was my favorite weapon to use in Call of Duty: World at War and I hope it ends up being a great weapon. It’s good to see WWII getting new content frequently and not left dry with no updates.

Be sure to save up your armory credits and work on all of the challenges throughout the update. These seasonal items will disappear after the event ends on December 2. It is highly unlikely that some of the items will return. The only items I believe that will stay are the 3 guns. The melee weapons and outfits will most likely be locked to the event.
