At BlizzCon 2017, Blizzard announced World of Warcraft – Battle for Azeroth, the newest expansion for the most beloved MMORPG of all times.
Despite the historical conflicts between the factions of the Horde and the Alliance, last expansions' lore was focused on a common threat called the Legion, which forced both faction to put their differences aside and join forces to overcome it. However, during the process of defeating the Legion's crusade, the trust between the faction was shaken and now that the danger is gone, their old conflict reignites!
Its Horde vs Alliance like it has always been!
The cinematic trailer shows how Sylvanas fends in battle and exalts the Horde in her cold fashion against the Alliance and his new King of Stormwind, Anduin Wrynn,who is wielding his fallen father Varian's Sword, Shalamayne. Near the end, Anduin lays his sword and makes use of his healing power to restore the Alliance forces and to stir courage back into his army.
It feels good to see World of Warcraft return to his origins and be a simple yet thrilling and exciting war between factions!
This new expansion comes packed with a lot of exciting features, such as:
- Lvl cap raised to 120
- Recruit allied races – six new playable Allied Races
- New Alliance kingdom – Kul Tiras
- New Horde kingdom – Zandalar
- Uncharted lands to plunder – 3-player battles against intruders or enemy players to race for booty
- Warfronts – large scale 20-player cooperative battles
- Armor with titanic might
- New dungeons and raids
There is no official release date yet but Blizzard announced that the beta test is coming soon, so be ready!
