New Cutscene Released For The Last of Us: Part 2

It is fair to say that fans were disappointed not to see additional details regarding The Last of Us: Part 2 at this years E3. But, at this weeks Paris Games Week, The Last of Us: Part 2 has had a new cutscene revealed during Sony's Media Showcase at Paris Games Week; showing off brand new characters and a gritty and brutal tone, it develops the world, showing how it has grown up alongside Joel and Ellie.

New Cutscene Released For The Last of Us Part 2
At the end of Playstation's strong Paris Games Week Media Showcase, a cutscene from The Last of Us: Part 2 was shown. It provides a great look at how the world of The Last of Us has changed; that change comes in the form of a more brutal and gritty world. The cutscene can be viewed below:


Surprisingly, the cutscene does not feature Joel or Ellie, instead opting to introduce new characters in the form of Yara and Lev. With references to the Clickers as "Devil's" we could be seeing religion play a more significant role. Not to mention the symbolism of the woman placing a knife against another woman's stomach.

Accompanying this, Playstation released an interview with Neil Druckmann. Whilst not offering much in the way of details, it does disclose some improvements Naughty Dog has made on the technical side. Also, it confirms the entire Naughty Dog team is working on The Last of Us: Part 2. Below is the interview:


The Last of Us: Part 2 is one of the most anticipated Playstation games – we may see more of it in December – during Playstation's Conference at Playstation Experience.
