How to Set Up the Visual Boy Advance Software  

Run the visual boy advance application. To get the setup to the best settings, you have to change a few simple settings in the application.
  • Go to options, frame skip and select automatic
  • Video and select x2
  • In case of sound, make sure 22 Khz is selected
  • Most importantly change filter to hq2x
  • Change Gameboy to GBA

Setting Up the Controller 

To setup the controller you will have to go to options and select joypad, configure and then choose #1. You can either use a 360 or plug in controller or set it up to your mouse and keyboard. Connect your controller and setup using the arrow keys. If you are using the keyboard use the D pad controller for left, right, up, down movements. Other commands setup can be chosen as per your preference.
