Destiny 2 Patch Adds Factions and Balance Tweaks
Yesterday, Destiny 2 was down for maintenance for approximately six hours. Once it was over, players were presented with the latest patch – Update 1.0.3. Among the many bug fixes, there have been several notable changes.

First and foremost, Bungie introduced the Destiny 2 Faction Rallies. These are special events that will allow players to pledge themselves to one of three factions – Dead Orbit, Future War Clan, and New Monarchy. After players have chosen a faction, they will earn reputation tokens for it by completing regular events around the world of Destiny 2. The tokens can then be turned in for unique faction-specific rewards, including an exclusive weapon at the end of the event. Players will be able to take part in the Faction Rallies after the next weekly reset.

Additionally, Bungie has tweaked some gameplay aspects as well. These are mostly related to the Crucible. For example, the weekly Call to Arms milestone can now be completed with fewer matches. According to Bungie, this was done to "align it with other weekly milestones."

When it comes to Crucible matches themselves, the power ammo locations for Clash and Supremacy on the Midtown arena have been altered. Midtown also received an invisible wall that will stop players from venturing outside the intended playable area.

The Eternity arena has also been changed slightly. Soft-kill volume has been added to keep players from hiding on the edge of the map and dead players' Ghosts will not appear in the Fork location any longer.

Other than that, Destiny 2 Update 1.0.3 brought a plethora of bug fixes. If you want to know more, feel free to check out the full public changelog.

If you don't have Destiny 2 yet, you can buy it for your PS4 or Xbox One. You can also pre-order the PC version on Keengamer's ESHOP.
