Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice has had a rocky development. It was announced three years ago and has suffered multiple delays. However, this week is when gamers will finally be able to get their hands on the Celtic inspired action-adventure game.
Today Ninja Theory released its final development diary for Hellblade. This diary delves into the struggles Ninja Theory have faced during Hellblade's development, as well as detailing the team's final push towards release.
Notably, Ninja Theory delves into detail on their playtesting process, and how games are submitted to Sony for certification. On top of that, Ninja Theory for the last two years has been collaborating with mental health professionals and people with experience of Psychosis, a mental health problem that causes people to perceive or interpret things differently to those around them. The aim of this collaboration was to ensure that they weren't misrepresenting Psychosis and those affected by it, within Hellblade.
