What do we know about Slovakia? You may know it for gorgeous women, free trains, or a large number of castles, but this article is going to be about Games Industry in Slovakia.

Most games developed in Slovakia are for Steam, says report
Games Industry in Slovakia does exist, and the country even has a body that represents game developers – Slovak Game Developer Association (SGDA). SGDA has created a small report showcasing some info to give you a general idea of how things are going for Slovak game developers.

So far, there is a total of 28 companies involved with game development. Together, they offer more than 500 jobs and have launched more than 400 games. Please see the infographic below for additional details.

As mentioned in the title, the most popular platform for development is Steam with VR/AR being the least favorite among the developers. Turns out Marketing, 2D and 3D Artists together with Programmer positions are the most competitive ones. Lastly, 71% of the developers work on original IPs while only 29% work for hire.
