Monster Hunter World Gameplay Leaked

Monster Hunter World was revealed via a quasi-cinematic trailer, showing what gameplay will look like, but not at a 1:1 level. Early gameplay has leaked following its showcase at a closed-door session at E3.

A few days after it's reveal to the world, some early gameplay footage, along with a live narrator guiding viewers through the events on screen, has leaked out into the wilds. The footage was taken from a closed-door session at E3. It was filmed with a camera, and the picture is dark, uneven, and shaky – the hallmarks of a truly leaked piece of video. It was uploaded to Chinese video hosting site Bilibili, but can also be viewed and downloaded from this link. The video is 22 minutes long.

When companies have closed-door reveals of games, it's usually because the game is in a very early state, and they don't want to release it to the public yet. The fear is that the average consumer will see it in its unfinished state and critique it as if it were. The hope is that journalists will translate the early gameplay to finished in their articles when they describe what they saw.

The footage quality is not great, so if you'd rather wait until an official, prettier, release of info, don't watch. If, however, you simply can't wait, this is your best bet right now.
