Metro Exodus Running On PC, Not Xbox One, During Reveal
The developers of Metro Exodus, the newest game in the Metro series that was revealed yesterday during Microsoft's E3 press conference, stated in an interview with Geoff Keighley for YouTube Live that the game was actually running on PC, not Xbox One, as it debuted to the public.

Additionally, the developer mentioned that it's team has no intention "to carve off any content for any particular platform" and that the people there "don't believe in exclusives." Given this, Metro Exodus is being made "from the ground up as a cross-platform game" and that full 4K with HDR support is being aimed for on both Xbox One X and PlayStation 4 Pro.

Some new story details were disclosed as well, with Artyom returning as the game's protagonist as he flees from Moscow with a group of survivors and the world not being fully open-world, but a "sandbox survival experience" with non-linear levels taking place over the course of one year.

Though no release date was confirmed, Metro Exodus is confirmed for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Its debut trailer can be found below:

Wow! This is significant news. So the Xbox One X is touted as the greatest thing and yet when game footage is shown, its from a PC? News sites could have a field day with this piece right here.

This is really funny. So not running on the Xbox One X, huh?

Not that it matters too much, since the shown “gameplay” looked very scripted.
