Build Forts, Kill Zombies, and Get Loot in Fortnite
Ahead of E3, Epic Games has released a trailer for their upcoming co-op action game, Fortnite. Unlike most trailers that give a cinematic tease and maybe some brief gameplay, this trailer goes over everything you can expect from the game when it releases on July 25th on PS4, Xbox One, PC and Mac.

Along with the trailer is a site for the game that features more information in an interactive manner. The game is likely to feature four player co-op, with each player able to pick from one of four classes: constructor, ninja, soldier, and outlander, each with their own skills. The game will be split into several different styles of play. You'll have to wander about to collect resources, which you will later use to build your fort. When the Husk attack, you'll be able to mend and add to your fort as the need arises. If the zombies break in, you'll have plenty of guns and melee weapons to help push them back.

Fortnite will be releasing in four editions: standard, deluxe, super deluxe, and limited, with prices of $39.99, $59.99, $89.99, and $149.99, respectively. Pre-ordering any of these will allow access to the game four days ahead of its full release. If you're eager to get your friends to play, Limited Edition comes with two extra copies, along with all the other exclusive goodies!

No mention of splitscreen local co-op, I guess? Looks like fun, either way.

Seems unlikely, given the industry’s movement away from local multiplayer, which is a shame. Online play is fine, but it can’t replace the experience of playing shoulder to shoulder with someone else.
