Bioware's new writer and veteran Dragon Age developers hint at a new Dragon Age. Zealous to guard the secrets and nature of the project they also try to convince us that it may just be late DLC for 2014's Dragon Age Inquisition.

New Dragon Age Content/Game Incoming?
A few days ago, eurogamer interviewed a new writer for Bioware where beans were clearly spilt as to the upcoming future of the Dragon Age franchise. Sunless Sea creator Alexis Kennedy revealed that he recently joined a new project at Bioware to work alongside Dragon Age creator Mike Laidlaw and Lead Dragon Age scribe Patrick Weekes. This suggested a new entry in the popular RPG. Furthermore, Kennedy says in the interview that the game he is working on is no secret as he says,
which I can now legitimately say is in the Dragon Age franchise although it has been known for a while. Notionally it was a secret but, because of who I was working with, everyone who cared knew. And then the day I started, Mark Darrah [executive producer of the Dragon Age franchise] tweeted saying 'welcome to the Dragon Age franchise,' so I thought, well, i guess that's official now then.
This suggests that Bioware is hard at work on a new Dragon Age installment. That also seems to be what the mainstream media is thinking and in an interesting turn of events, Bioware recently reached out to try to dispell that idea as a certainty. New writer Alexis Kennedy took to twitter to say that, "ware EA ninjas! all I've said is that it's something in the DA franchise. It could be a spinoff or late DLC or a dragon breeding program..." Dragon Age mastermind, Mike Laidlaw was also quick to back him up by stating, "Lot of assumptions being made, but Alexis makes a very important clarification!"

It remains quite hilarious to see how secretive developers are and how quick they are to want to keep the suspense behind what they are working on. Plausible as it may be, the chances of late DLC are probably slim at this point as the last installment in the franchise released on 2014. A spinoff or new main game still remain to be new entries in the franchise. We will give Bioware the benefit of the doubt in any case.
