Take-Two CEO "Confident" About Red Dead Redemption 2 Delay
Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick expressed "utter confidence" concerning the delay of Red Dead Redemption 2 during the publisher's quarterly financial conference this morning, mentioning that developer Rockstar has full support from the parent company in this decision.

He went on to mention that Rockstar has run into no issues so far and that this delay will ultimately prove to be wise creatively, artistically, and even economically.

His full comments are as follows:

"The purpose for the delay for Red Dead Redemption 2 is to make sure that we deliver the most extraordinary experience that we’re capable of providing. We haven’t run into particular issues, but we’re building a new game from the ground up for the first time for new-generation consoles, so the pressure that we put on ourselves to deliver excellence to the consumers is extraordinary. We want to make sure that the time is taken to deliver the best game possible, and I think that’s what consumers expect of Rockstar, and that’s what Rockstar typically delivers. We support the label's decision and we’re utterly confident that it’ll prove in time to be wise creatively, artistically, and economically.”

The title's delay was announced yesterday, albeit accompanied by a host of new screenshots. It's now set to release in the Spring of 2018 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
