The Witcher 3 Game Director Praises PlayStation Exclusives
The PlayStation blog of Europe just published an interesting interview with Konrad Tomaszkiewicz who happens to be the game director of CD Projekt Red's The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. He is one of the brains for what many consider one of the best open world rpg of all time. The game sees monster hunter Geralt go through a vast world of epic storylines and exciting things to do. The positive critical acclaim for the game was universal.

Eight questions where asked of the rising game director. Among them he was asked which PlayStation game he wished he had made. To this Konrad replied games like Uncharted or The Last of Us saying that:

They're very story-driven, action-packed experiences, but at the same time pack a huge emotional punch.

To the question of which PlayStation game had him sink the most hours into, the game director replied:

The Souls series (Bloodborne included) and Nioh.

Finally, when asked which game made him rethink the medium the most, Konrad's answer was:

Heavy Rain. It had  a lot of powerful moments that linger with you long after the credits roll, like the shift from a normal everyday life depicted in the game's beginning into something much darker and depressing later on. It really sticks with you, especially when you're a parent or expecting to be one. And the way your choices impact the story was really something.

Heavy Rain was clearly underrrated. More should experience that masterpiece of storytelling and immersion.
