Super Mario Odyssey will be Nintendo’s “Main Attraction”

After over a decade of waiting for the next "Mario 64", we are given a break with Super Mario Odyssey for the Nintendo Switch. Not only is it different compared to recent Mario games, but it was the first time in 3 consoles that Mario wasn’t a launch title. Will it live up to the hype?

Super Mario Odyssey will be Nintendo's "Main Attraction"
Not much is know about Nintendo's newest addition to the Mario franchise. However we did get some confirmation at a press release stating Super Mario Odyssey will be playable at E3.

For those lucky enough to be in attendance, Nintendo will have the first playable demo of Super Mario OdysseyNintendo has described the game as an "sandbox-style adventure," similar to Super Mario Sunshine and the beloved Super Mario 64. With such a drastic change in style compared to Nintendo's recent Mario games, Nintendo seems pretty confident about their new title.

On top of Super Mario Odyssey, Nintendo plans to kick off E3 on June 13th at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET with its Nintendo Spotlight: E3 2017 video presentation. The company will focus on games launching in 2017. “With Nintendo Treehouse: Live at E3, fans at home can watch in-depth game play of Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS games launching this year.” – Reggie Fils-Aime, President and COO, Nintendo of America

With little news of new games for the switch. Nintendo has decided to focus on hyping the current list of games set for 2017 which is honestly a good idea seeing that many people are still skeptical to upgrade from their Wii ULets see if Nintendo has what it takes to win us over.

Remember this is the first E3 free to the public, so stop by and get your hands on Super Mario Odyssey before the lines get too long.
