PlayStation 3 Production to Soon End in Japan

According to a new update on the console's official Japanese page, the decade-old PlayStation 3 is set to end production "soon" in the country.

Sony has updated their official Japanese PlayStation 3 webpage today to include that production for the console will end "soon" in the country.

Originally launched there on November 11th, 2016, there's currently no word yet on when the same will occur in western markets. Given past accounts, however, it's likely that the console will cease production on this side of the world soon too.
