Nintendo's newest console, the Switch, went up for pre-order in Japan today and, at the time of this writing, has sold out at major online Japanese retailers.
Yodobashi Camera (grey, blue/red), BIC Camera (grey, blue/red), Sofmap (grey, blue/red), Edion (grey, blue/red), Rakuten Books (grey, blue/red) and Amazon (grey, blue/red) are all currently out of stock. There's no word yet as to when each will be restocked.
Interestingly enough, external sellers on Japan's Amazon haven't price gouged the console much as of yet, meaning that at the moment, Japanese fans who don't want to wait outside on launch day could avoid doing so with either model (grey, blue/red) at a reasonable price. The same case goes for Yahoo Auctions as well.
