TGA 2016 GOTY Nominees Revealed
The Game Awards 2016 takes place on Thursday, December 1st. Fans help decide what the next Game of the Year will be, as well as participate in votes for other categories. This year is a tough one due to so many great games such as Dark Souls III, Overwatch, Uncharted 4, and many more. You can see the full list of categories here.

Here are the nominees for Game of the Year.

doom

Doom 2016, GOTY Nominee
Developed by id Software and Bethesda, Doom became a huge hit this year, being based on it's original forumla for gory shoot em' up gameplay from the past. It takes things even further by incorporating new features and mechanics seen in newer FPS games. It has an awesome story mode and immersive multiplayer and is well worth a play even if you have never played one of the previous titles.

Inside

Inside, GOTY Nominee
Inside is developed by Playdead, who also created the much beloved Limbo. It is a mysterious puzzle platformer where you play as an unnamed young boy who explores a dark environment presented in an almost 2.5D type of way. It is a very creative game that is extremely underrated and well worth a play.

OVerwatch

Overwatch, GOTY nominee
Bet you haven't heard of this game, huh? Kidding of course. Overwatch, developed by Blizzard Entertainment has become a worldwide phenomenon. It is an online multiplayer games where two teams of awesome heroes go head to head to complete the given objective and win the match. It has sparked a huge esports scene and has frequent updates. There is so much variety in this game that will most likely never get bored with it. It is definitely worth a play on PC or console.

Titanfall 2

Titanfall 2, GOTY nominee
Titanfall 2, developed by Respawn Entertainment is a very underrated game. It's great and improves on the well crafted formula of it's original game, but simply came out at the wrong time. Due to Battlefield 1 coming out so close to it, it really lost a lot of its hype closer to release. It would have done way better in the summer or even earlier this year. It still is a game that fans of the first should play as it finally has a single player campaign.

Uncharted 4: a thief's end

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, GOTY Nominee
Developed by Naughty Dog, the Uncharted games are not a stranger to immersive story telling. Uncharted 4 closes out Nathan Drakes journey in an epic Indiana Jones like campaign. Its gameplay is ridiculously fun and even has online multiplayer that will be getting more updates soon.

IMHO, Uncharted 4 should be game of the year. The game ended the franchise with a bang and it was everything that I had hoped for in the last Uncharted game.
