PayDay 2 finally gave us the ability to customize our Safe Houses, after three years, in the new 'Hoxton's Housewarming Party' update.

Newest PayDay update allows us to customize our Safe House
In a recent update from Overkill Software, PayDay 2 has given the community something that has been requested for years now; the ability to customize our Safe Houses.

Known as 'Hoxton's Housewarming Party' the update will be adding new content over the course of 10 days, with each new day adding even more content to the game.

Day One of the update introduced a couple new things. First of all was the  introduction to a new character; Aldstone, Hoxton's old butler, voiced by Monty Python's John Cleese. Aldstone brings in some British humor with a bit Cleese's own charm.

When it comes to content, two new difficulty modes were introduced; Mayhem and One Down. Mayhem is considered to be a bridge crossing going beyond the challenge of Overkill, but not going as far as Deathwish. As for those with too much confidence in their skill or are just plain foolhardy, there is One Down mode. One Down is exactly what the name implies, you can only go down once in this otherwise Deathwish difficulty, with the next down taking you directly into custody. One Down also features even more difficult units, the Zeal team, for heisters to go up against and (hopefully) overcome.

Day Two of the update actually added the Safe Houses to the game, available to customize with different tiers of features, eventually adding minigames and trophies to be seen and interacted with in-game.

Day Three adds four new masks modeled after infamous gangsters of the golden age of crime, the early 1900's. This includes George "Bugs" Moran, Stephanie "Madame" St. Claire, Charles "Lucky" Luciano, and Al Capone, immortalized in the newest fashionable crime accessories. To go with these masks were even more mask colors, as well.

The next few days promise new throwables, enemies, mutators, weapons, and even a new heist.
