Persona 5 awarded near perfect score by Famitsu

The highly anticipated next entry in the series has been awarded a 39/40 by Japanese publication Famitsu, a rare occurance since a strict high score policy placed by the magazine some years ago. The review mentions that the game has an average playtime of 80 hours, with loads of extra content to add on top of that.

Persona 5 given near perfect score on Famitsu
Copies of the latest issue of Japanese publication Famitsu have leaked, revealing that the four reviewers attached to Persona 5 have awarded the highly anticipated JRPG a near-perfect score of 39/40.

The review also mentions that an average playthrough of the game takes around 80 hours to complete, and that there's loads of extra content to enjoy on top of that.

The publication tightened it's review scores in recent years, making the possibility of getting a 39/40 much more unlikely.

Persona 5 releases for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 in North America on February 14.
