The 'Phantom Hourglass & Spirit Tracks' DLC pack for Hyrule Warriors Legends on Nintendo 3DS has been released following the Nintendo Direct presentation showed on 01/09/2016.
The downloadable content includes a new weapon for Toon Link, the Sand Wand. The Sand Wand was one of Link's tools in The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks, released back in 2009 on Nintendo DS. It had the power to create solid pillars out of sand which could be used to raise Link up to higher ground as well as create paths, but now can be seen pulverising enemies with multiple sand blocks, and summoning Link's spirit train for explosive combo attacks.
The DLC also sees the Spirit Tracks iteration of Princess Zelda join the roster, taking control of a fearsome phantom much like she did in the DS game. 'Toon Zelda' attacks enemies with a combination of brutal sword slashes, rock drop attacks and energy bursts. And if that wasn't enough, the DLC pack also includes a new adventure mode map; the Grand Travels map, where players can complete extra missions for bonuses and 15 new 'My Fairy' costumes, which are different outfits for fairies that can launch powerful attacks in the game.
This is the third DLC pack for Hyrule Warriors Legends, joining previously released DLC packs: the 'Master Wind Waker' pack and the 'Link's Awakening' pack. The latter of which includes downloadable character Marin (from the Game Boy game the pack loans its name from) and a new weapon for the Hyrule Warriors character, Linkle. This DLC precedes the 'A Link Between Worlds' pack slated for Winter 2016. With the exception of the 'Master Wind Waker' pack, all DLC is also available on the Wii U version of the game, Hyrule Warriors.
