Sony's Tokyo Game Show 2016 line-up was announced online and via press release today, including games from PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and PlayStation VR. Noticeably absent, however, was The Last Guardian, which is especially odd considering the game's release on October 25 in Japan.

The Last Guardian delayed?
Sony's The Last Guardian was noticeably absent during the publisher's Tokyo Game Show 2016 line-up announcement today, leaving many questioning yet again the status of the long awaited adventure game.

The list, featured below and distributed via press release, includes PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and PlayStation VR games yet no mention of the title, which is odd considering the game's release in a little over a month.

PS4:

  • Resident Evil 7
  • Samurai Warriors: Sanada Maru
  • NiOh
  • Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue
  • Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age
  • Final Fantasy XV
  • World of Final Fantasy
  • Valkyria: Azure Revolution
  • Yakuza 6: The Song of Life
  • Gravity Rush 2
  • Horizon: Zero Dawn
  • New Hot Shots Golf
  • Gran Turismo Sport
  • Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare
  • SD Gundam: G-Generation Genesis
  • Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization
  • Tekken 7
  • Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2
  • Fate/EXTELLA: The Umbral Star
  • LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakening

PS Vita:

  • World of Final Fantasy
  • Macross Delta: Scramble
  • Fate/EXTELLA: The Umbral Star
  • LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakening

PlayStation VR

  • REZ Infinite
  • Resident Evil 7
  • Hatsune Miku: VR Future Live
  • Farpoint
  • PlayStation VR Worlds
  • RIGS: Machine Combat League
  • The Playroom VR
  • The Idoolmaster Cinderella Girls: Viewing Revolution
  • Batman: Arkham VR

Another game noticeably absent is Ace Combat 7, which was announced last year at Sony's PlayStation Experience event and has been quiet ever since.

The Last Guardian is set to release, as of the date of this article, on October 25 in North America and Japan, October 26 in Australia, and October 28 in Europe. The PlayStation 4 exclusive began development in 2007.
