Developer Capcom announced yesterday that they're developing an unnamed 3DS game in collaboration with JR East Japan Planning that's designed to work with Japanese IC Cards, which are primarily used to pay public transportation fares.
Items and interactions between characters in the game are based on information found on the card, including riding history. This feature would work simply by tapping the pass on the 3DS's touch screen.
Supporting 10 types of IC Cards, the game will also include 9,000 of Japan's train stations and will collaborate with local railways as a means of boosting morale in each region.
No release date is yet known for the game, nor any news as to whether or not this feature will make its way outside of Japan.
