The highly anticipated remake of cult classic JRPG Final Fantasy VII may come as soon as March of next year, according to Facebook reports.
Citing "multiple news outlets and financial statements" from publisher Square Enix, the trending topic doesn't provide much else in the way of evidence for the claims.
The game, in demand by series veterans for over a decade, was announced last year to be divided up into episodes. Gameplay will be a combination of real-time action similar to Dissidia Final Fantasy and strategy role-playing titles.
The remake of the 1997 PlayStation game was announced at E3 2015. Original character designer Tetsuya Nomura, director Yoshinori Kitase, and scriptwriter Kazushige Nojime have all returned to help with the project.
