Nintendo's upcoming open world entry in the long-running series won Gamescom's Best of Show Award today, with other distinctions going to Battlefield 1 and PlayStation VR. Europe's largest gaming convention lasts until this Sunday in Cologne, Germany.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild wins big
Gamescom announced via press release today the winners of its official Gamescom Awards 2016, with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild winning the coveted overall Best of Show Award.

Other awards went to Battlefield 1, who brought home the Consumer Award, and PlayStation VR, who won multiple distinctions in the hardware space. A complete list of winners can be found below:
