Some time yesterday the soundtrack for Hello Games' newest game, No Man's Sky, has been released just 5 days from release, and it has everyone talking. If you find yourself wanting more No Man's Sky, despite all of the leaked footage and screenshots, you can give the OST a listen right now. The beautiful music has been made by the experimental rock band 65daysofstatic, who were asked to do the soundtrack in its entirety after making the music for just one of the trailers.
"It was quite simply 'write the next 65daysofstatic album'. Our involvement in the procedural audio, the actual in-game music came later," Joe Shrewsbury said in an interview with those over at Independent. "The plan was always to use elements of the album for that purpose, but we established a really good relationship with No Man's Sky's audio director, Paul Weir, and by the time we'd finished the bulk of recording, it was clear that the procedural stuff would be more collaborative than we'd initially imagined," Joe continued.
You can check out the soundtrack below. It's personally got me in the mood to play No Man's Sky.
No Man's Sky is set to release on August 9th, 2016.
