Report Says NX Has Third-Party Support at Launch

Rumours stemming from a report suggest that Nintendo's NX console will have major third-party backing and Mario, Zelda, and Pokemon games released within the first six months of its lifespan. Sources claiming to be close to Nintendo have said that "NX will not suffer the same slow start as either the Wii U or 3DS".

Promotional logo for the Nintendo NXRumours pertaining to Nintendo's next-generation console, codenamed "NX", have been cropping up more and more these days.  In that vein, a new report claims that the NX will be backed by major third-party studios – such as Sega, Square Enix, and Warner Bros – and will see a Mario game, a Pokemon game and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild added to its line-up within six months of its launch.

The report also suggests that the console's graphical capability would be "somewhere between a PS3 and PS4", with the aim being to "upgrade smartphone gamers" rather than appeal to long-time console gamers.
To this end, the report addresses a previously-discussed aspect of the NX:

"The same sources confirmed that the Eurogamer report last week – which revealed that NX will be a portable machine that can be plugged into a TV and features a breakaway controller – is ‘100 per cent accurate’."

The company itself has yet to comment on the validity of this report, or the sources claiming to be "close to Nintendo".  The NX is set for release in March 2017.
