Watch Dogs: Legion set for October release with new gameplay shown
Ubisoft Forward showcased new gameplay of Watch Dogs: Legion and it didn’t disappoint. The tone was set right at the beginning of the presentation with a short film inspired by the world of Legion made in a rather chaotic and interesting art style. Then we got the real gameplay which showcased the different approaches to an infiltration mission.
The centerpiece was the different playable characters, each of which falls under a certain class and has access to different special abilities and tools or gadgets. One was an “in your face” construction worker, another a stealthy drone pilot, and there was even a “gun-kata” John Wick-esque assassin. The game looks like lots of fun and we can’t wait for it to release in just short 3 months, on October 29th. For more information and the full gameplay video, check out our original news coverage.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is not a simple Odyssey reskin
The next installment in the insanely hyped Assassin’s Creed franchise probably had the longest reveal event ever back in April. Since then, all we got was various teasers but no concrete gameplay – until now. Ubisoft’s Forward event featured a deep dive into the gameplay and showcased how all in Valhalla was on the Viking themes. While the gameplay is reminiscent of the previous two entries in the franchise, Valhalla is distinctly brutal in combat, while being nuanced in stealth, world exploration and questing.
Hunting and foraging will play an important role in crafting materials to fortify equipment of the protagonist as well as his homestead from which he’ll be able to launch invasions of enemy forts. More emphasis will be put on dialogue and player’s decisions, which will often have various long-reaching consequences for that playthrough. The game is set to release on the 17th of November 2020, on PS5, Xbox Series X, PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Google Stadia. Kingdoms of Amalur remaster is also getting an expansion
Since the news of a remaster broke last month, fans of Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning have been eager to know when they can get their hands on the new and improved version of the epic fantasy game. THQ Nordic has not only confirmed the release date but also revealed that there will be a brand new expansion coming next year. Not much is known about it, other than the fact that it will be named Fatesworn.
Considering the importance of fate and the main character of the game being fateless, this could be a big expansion story-wise. What’s great, THQ Nordic expressed interest and excitement at providing even more content for the game down the line. This will probably be the case only if the remaster performs well commercially. As huge fans of the game, we sincerely hope it will. For more information on the remaster itself and its release date, check out our original news coverage.
The reviews for the samurai epic from Sucker Punch are already out so the studio decided to share some final details about the game itself. The information provided mostly has to do with how expansive the game world is. The setting itself is based on the real Tsushima island. Although Tsushima island-inspired Ghost of Tsushima‘s world, Sucker Punch did not aim to create an identical recreation of it. As one of the producers stated, the game is more of a love letter to the best parts of Japan and its environment and culture. The bulk of the inspiration came from classic samurai movie scenes and the game aims to translate that into the game from start to finish. While you wait for our review, be sure to check out more information about the game in our original news coverage.

PS5 box art is in line with the color scheme of the console itself
The next-gen craze is just around the corner and the gaming community is absolutely eating up any information about new consoles and everything related. The next piece of such info comes in the form of the reveal of the PlayStation 5’s box art design – courtesy of the upcoming Spiderman: Mile Morales. The box itself will still remain that translucent color blue while the art itself has transitioned to being predominantly white. Even though the design is nothing spectacular, we have to hand it to Sony for making it completely fit the color scheme of the PlayStation 5. It’s really a testament to their dedication and absolute attention to detail when it comes to their products. Hopefully, they apply the same principles to the next-gen games and deliver the best gaming experience possible. For more info and a look at the box art itself, check out our original news coverage.
