A lifelong gamer that was first drawn in by the challenge they posed, but hooked by the beautiful, immersive worlds that can only be found in gaming.
I want to see video games continue to push the boundaries with bigger and bolder ideas; less sequels and more new IPs. The best way to do that is to be as honest a critic as you can be, no free passes.
One day a worker from Santa's workshop decided to take a trek to explore the world and answer some of life's greatest questions: What are the reasons for Man's inhumanity to Man? Does objective reality exist? Who invented ceiling fans? How does one become a ceiling fan designer? His journey took him far and wide. He trudged through the rough but intriguing peaks of political discourse. He fought through leagues of sound as became encompassed in a sea of music. He even got lost in the weird but endearing play house of anime. However during his journey he found a place he could not describe in adequate terms. It was a place where the roads of written words mixed in perfect unison with the engrossing winds of video games; he had found a home. He then lived happily ever after. Well actually he just moved in on the border and spent his time throwing rocks at hobbits and yelling at tax collectors.
Follow me on Twitter: @RuskinOfBeard sometimes I tweet about sports (Go Saints, Red Wings, Pirates, and Celtics) sometimes I tweet about politics (why can't we be friends) sometimes I just retweet things I think are funny. Follow at your own risk.
Just a fair journalist, always bouncing from one site or another, I write reviews and various articles on the gaming industry. While being mostly PC-centric, I do own consoles to cover the spectrum of releases, always looking to try new things in things and always going back to old classics like Megaman and Kingdom Hearts for reminders of what passionate game design is like.
I am a versatile skill-set gamer with a great enthusiasm to learn new things. I was born and raised in Brazil, and came to live in the United States with a luggage filled with dreams and goals. I enjoy writing and working on the next step to become better on everything I do. Aside from playing video games that range from Pokemon to FIFA, I also enjoy dogs, outdoor activities and traveling. I am always looking forward to new opportunities to learn, grow, and reach new dreams.
David Lozada is an Italian/Latino New York City-based writer whose passions include music, anime, cosplay, movies, bike riding, video games, and just being an all-around nerd. He's always out and about, going to anime and gaming conventions alike across America and posting all of his shenanigans on social media for the world to see. If you bump into him, wherever he may be, don't be shy to say hello!
Dian is made-up of sugar, games, and everthing metal. When not playing games or blasting metalcore, he plays with cats or recites all the Mustafar dialogue in Star Wars Ep. 3 from memory, including Padme's lines. Don't break his heart or go down a path Padme can't follow.
Hi, guys! My name is Dmytro. I'm 26 years old. I have been playing computer games since I was 3. Over the years, I played dozens of games. It is hard to remember or name them all. In my games section, you'll find the games that I have played/'am playing now.
About myself? Well, I've been working in games journalism industry since 2016. I'm currently acquiring a Degree in Journalism at the University of Regina in Canada and, in terms of gaming, I'm a huge fan of pretty much all genres, but in terms of consoles, I have to go with Sony.
Hey there! I'm Ewan. I've been writing for various publications over the past few years and have finally found myself writing for KeenGamer. I collect video games, amassing a collection of over 1100 games for various consoles. Other than that I don't really do much else, I write, I read and I game.
I also do a lot of karaoke, although have the ability to sing like a bear that has recently had throat surgery.
I'm Jake, you're not. I'm sarcastic, British, a Whovian, a YouTuber, a Slytherin, the Sultan of Brunei, Annoying, and have a tendency to lie when listing things (I'm actually a Ravenclaw).
I play video games and write things. Not always at the same time though, as that's pretty difficult. I admire anyone who can, though.
Favourite games for selected consoles:
PC: Worms Armageddon PS1: Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon PS2: The Simpsons: Hit and Run PS3: The Last of Us (even though, technically, I played it on PS4) PS4: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt 360: Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 One: Don't have one, as I sold it because I'd rather not play a game of Minesweeper just to load up a game, after waiting an hour for the disc to install.
Other notable games/series include TES (personally I prefer Oblivion to Skyrim in all but mechanics - except for lockpicking. Oblivion's lockpicking was boss), Fallout New Vegas, LEGO Racers, Ratchet and Clank, Jak and Daxter, Crash Bandicoot, Rock Band 3, and, rather boringly, OMSI Bus Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 2, because they're mindless procrastination fodder.
I can be found making Let's Plays and other rubbish content on YouTube- http://www.youtube.com/DevilboyScooby
I'm one of those people that loves video-games. But , perhaps more importantly , I love the industry. I play pretty much anything that is served in front of me ; with particular fancy to single player story driven experiences and a dislike for sports games. (obviously). I've ventured my way from Nintendo , through Xbox and am now a proud Playstation supporter. I'd rather not start wars over consoles , but rather the rising amount of trash that fills our digital stores - I also like to rant. When I'm not playing games , I'm reading about them ; and when I'm not reading , I'm writing about them.
Hey, I'm a very busy man with not much of a plan. I'm currently seeking employment to help support myself through this last year of college, and I write reviews here, for your approval. I mostly do retro or last-gen titles, since I'm not wealthy enough to grab new games and I tend to prefer AAA or generally well-built games to cookie-cutter indie titles or similar. I love horror and action, and will most certainly try anything that seeks to combine the two!
Joel Franey was born in 1994, at midnight in the midst of floods, pestilence and famine. It was said that he would reveal himself to the world in order to bring about an age of darkness, and that only a true hero could slay this terrible beast.
The hero showed up later on, but Joel complained at him until he went away. He plans to begin the aforementioned age of darkness "when I've got some bloody time in my schedule, alright?"
I'm Jordan. A fan of all things games, but with a specific and some might say obsessive tendency towards FIFA. When I'm not on the pitch you can find me hundreds of hours deep into Western RPGS, getting the adrenaline pumping with some first person shooters or simply beating the life out of someone in WWE or UFC.
A young and limber guy who likes games as much as he likes life. I play a lot, an excessive almost sickening amount of video games. I almost have my Bachelor's degree in Media Studies with a minor in Film Studies. Basically I'm a nerd who likes anything technology, I build PC's and play mostly PC games. I also have a youtube, youtube.com/aburntturkey and a twitch, twitch.tv/aburntturkey I know a lot about tech and hardware also mobile devices!
~ See you all in the article/ game review section ;)
Salutations! My name is Kion Karimi and I'm an aspiring gaming journalist. My passion is to always to just write and inform people about the truth whether it be really bad or good. I am lead by my honesty and nothing else. I am currently in community college getting my journalism degree and I work a part time job. I like to work out, spend time with my girlfriend, listen to alternative screamo and play video games in my spare time. :)
I know the names, types and evolved forms of all 151 original Pokemon. I used to play Command and Conquer: Red Alert so much that I dreamt of completing the campaign every night. I've played over 1000 hours of Civilization V. I once played a 16 hour game of Risk and won. I have a deep appreciation for llamas, pandas and pizza. My elbows can bend about 30° in the wrong direction, obviously I use this to freak people out. I have a spectacular wife and a beautiful baby boy, he has my eyes.
If that's not a complete life then I don't know what is.
I love to play games, write about games and I even love board games. I've been slacking in virtual worlds since about 1987 when the Spectrum 128k was bleeding edge, and I love everything about gaming from the joy of a Nintendo classic to the on-rails Hollywood nonsense of a Call of Duty style shooter.
Hello! My name is Michael Keener, and I am an aspiring student of Business, with a passion for writing about videogames. I've been participating in the journalist community for awhile now and have loved every minute of it. My goal is to bring enjoyment and personal opinions that may help you make the hard choice between which games to play next.
Someone in his early-20s who has a knack for gaming, writing and unpopular opinions (all three tend to go hand-in-hand sometimes). I've been playing video games since I was 4 years old and I also create music and edit videos in my spare time. Favourite game of all time has to be Crash Bandicoot 2 for the PS1, but I love puzzle games, simulation games and platform games with a passion.
I'm a huge Kingdom Hearts fan and also a movie lover. My favorite movie of all time is The Dark Knight. I make youtube videos as well as write about all kinds of things. I hope to continue making people happy with gaming news and one day write stories for video games!
Rob is a Gamer, Reader, and Writer. He is a huge fan of Retro consoles such as Snes and PSX and streams their games here and there. He often is found reading Brandon Sanderson or Jim Butcher while listening to Bowie. Hope you enjoy the things he writes, cheers.
Gaming enthusiast who has recently graduated from university. First discovered a passion for gaming at a young age when I had my Sega Megadrive. Gaming isn't my only hobby as I also like to keep healthy by going to the gym and travel! I enjoy a good story driven RPG and recently became a fan of the MOBA genre.
A good ol' boy from South Carolina, I now live in the Land of the Rising Sun, training under only the best samurai and fighting giant robots...and occasionally finding the time to play games. I love movies, music, books, foreign languages, and of course, video games.
I was was born in the states (Maine) and am currently teaching English in Asia. I love video games, music, hiking, and learning new languages. I also enjoy to read, and I studied a lot of literature and creative writing in university.
I absolutely love adventure and RPG's but I am open to all games and genres and enjoy anything that is new and different from the pack.
Travis Brinkley has been gaming ever since he could wrap his hands around a controller. His favorite game of all-time is Borderlands 2, with Pokémon Emerald and the Mass Effect Trilogy not far behind. He likes almost every genre there is (excl. MOBA), and is currently playing Horizon Zero Dawn, The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine, and of course, Overwatch.
