  • Nearly aggressively quirky, when I am not trying out some game no one's ever heard of I can be found writing, hiking a metropark trail, or taking care of my carnivorous plants. As much as I love triple A titles, I find the most joy in finding and telling people about games that they may have missed with major titles absorbing all the attention.

  • Despite living in Brazil, I graduated from High School in the Las Vegas Academy of Arts in 2013. This institution was responsible for making my love for entertainment blossom.

Upon graduation, I returned to Brazil and started to study journalism in college, where I received the opportunity to work as a film critic and writer.

In regards to video games, I co-wrote "Portal 2: Abyss" and worked as lead writer of "Devotion" and "A Step Into Darkness". All three games have been greenlit on Steam.

As many people, I dream of a future when I will be able to make a living out of video games.

Writing has always been a very passionate hobby of mine, and combined with my interest in dissecting the interests I pursue, resulted in my aspiration to become a full-fledged critic. My love for games is more firmly entrenched in Nintendo's archive, but I'm excited about the opportunities present in other companies, most notably indie companies. Trying to find my place in the world, I show my hand more often than I would in the past.

I play video games and write things. Not always at the same time though, as that's pretty difficult. I admire anyone who can, though.

My favourite games of all time would probably be Worms Armageddon (the original), Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon, Rainbow Six Vegas 2, The Last of Us (yes, I cried), TES IV: Oblivion (it's better than Skyrim, and Bethesda need to remaster it NOW!) and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, which is, quite simply, the best game in a long time.

  • Since I was a child I liked video games and great stories, which made me start writing for myself and to love games with deep and intriguing narrations. RPGs are my drug and medicine. MMOs attract me just as much because of the people I meet and the gameplay they offer.

PC has always been my console and my notebook. I can do so many things apart from gaming that I just can't find the same excitement in any other platform. Don't misunderstand me, there are lots of games worth my time there (Monster Hunter, for example) yet PC is my comfort zone.

Finally, I do love to travel as well. Is my other face and to balance it with my gaming life is kind of hard to do but worth it nonetheless.

I came into gaming quite a bit later than all the cool kids. My first machine was a bulky, cube like PC that arrived one delightful Christmas at the age of eleven. • I remember the exact moment I first played a video game. I was roughly five years old, and my mom had just come up with a big brown bag. She had just come back from a yard sale and had brought something home for me. Inside was an NES, a copy of "The Legend of Zelda", and "Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt combo", complete with light gun. Up until that point, I don't think I knew what a video game was, but after getting it all set up, and playing for about five minutes I ran to that yard sale and bought every game I could afford. I walked away with "Metal Gear," "Lifeforce," and "Rampart." I was hooked. Later on I would try to rent a copy of "Tiny Toons" for the SNES and was confused why it didn't fit into the NES. I like to think I've gotten a little better at understanding video games since then.

I can enjoy anything from an RPG whose hours go into the triple digits, to a casual match-3 game I can play in bursts of five minutes each. When I'm not playing games (and sometimes even when I'm playing games), I'm enjoying comics, movies, and television shows from today and yesterday (haven't mastered getting content from tomorrow, but I'll let you know).
