Since the rise in popularity, the gaming community wanted the beloved character to be part of the roster of the upcoming Mortal Kombat 11. Fans even went so far as starting a petition on change.org, that has received over 350,000 signatures.
Sadly, those hoping to see Shaggy will be disappointed to learn that he won't be coming to Mortal Kombat 11. During a live stream with GameSpot, Community manager Tyler Lansdown's revealed that Shaggy will not be in Mortal Kombat 11. He said, "Shaggy will not be in the game, ever, sorry, dead meme!" Even Nether Realms twitter page responded with, "#RIPShaggy"
Some may see this as a sad day for the internet, but others will see it as confirmation that Shaggy was too powerful to be part of the game.
