New Update Turns The Evil Within 2 Into First-Person Horror

Bethesda and Tango Gameworks’ The Evil Within 2 has recently released a brand new update, which gives players the daunting option to play the survival horror game in first person. The update is available for players of the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.

Bethesda said in a recent announcement that players can switch from third-person (what the game is usually played in) to a first-person perspective at any point. “A lot of players like playing horror games in first-person, so for those who want to see some of the game’s situations through Sebastian’s eyes, it’s a really neat experience,” said Tango Gameworks producer Shinsaku Ohara in a press release. “I think exploring Union in first-person makes the scale feel even bigger than it does when you’re in third-person. Also, being able to see our environments and enemies up close allows players to get an even better look at how much effort went into their designs.

PC owners of the fan-favourite game have already had a sneak peak at what the game would be like in first-person, after discovering that is was available as a console command. In addition, the first-person perspective will be incorporated into the game's free trial version. But, if you're planning to sleep tonight, I certainly wouldn't recommend this!
