The Kickstarter project Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night keeps making further headway. The game was able to raise $5.5 million funds and became one of the most successful Kickstarter projects. As a spiritual successor to the Castlevania franchise, this one is also set to be an action adventure game led by the famed Castlevania creator Koji Igarashi. The game is reported to come to the PS4, Xbox One, Switch, PS Vita and PC in 2018. Now, to further raise the excitement levels, publisher 505 Games released a brand new trailer.
In Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night you play the role of orphan Miriam who is afflicted by a curse that is turning her skin into crystal. The protagonist embarks on a quest to find a famed summoner by the name Gebel, who overcame the same curse long ago. You must defeat enemies in order to gain ever greater powers and weapons to aid you on your quest. The footage seen so far has a true semblance of the Castlevania: Symphony of the Night game.
