Rainbow Six Siege’s Mira revealed

Rainbow Six Siege's next DLC, Velvet Shell, has released it's second operator, Spain's most lethal weapon, Mira. Now that her ability is revealed, how will it tie into the meta, and will she be as useful as other operators?

Rainbow Six Siege's Mira Revealed
Although Velvet Shell has only just recently been announced, both of the new operators and their abilities have been revealed. Last week we got to see Jackal, with his controversy causing ability; tracking enemy footsteps by outlining the prints left behind. This week, we get our first look at Mira, titled "Spain's Deadliest Weapon".

Mira, who is part of a Spanish Special Operations Group, known as "G.E.O", appears to have a device that allows her to break open a hole in a barricaded wall, giving her ample view into the room on the opposite side, gaining a vantage point for her and her team. The trailer showcases the use of said device, with Mira walking through a hallway before stopping at a wall to place a rectangular charge, the charge then proceeds to open up a hole leading to another room. Although it's too small to use as an entry point, the opening could be used to take out hostile operators or scout out another room.

Whether or not Mira will be an attacker or defender is unclear, but her ability would indicate that she is an attacker, while her weapon, which appears to be a Kriss 10 Vector, would suggest that she is a defender, being that only defenders use sub-machine guns as their primary weapon.

Unfortunately, we will have to wait until the Six Invitational which starts on February 3rd lasting until the 5th to learn everything else about Mira and her counterpart, Jackal. Remember to stay tuned to Ubisoft's twitter to stay in the loop regarding all things Rainbow Six Siege.
