LOS ANGELES (Aug. 29, 2016) – Celebrating its third anniversary, FINAL FANTASY XIV continues to welcome new players to the world of Eorzea, with over six million cumulative players globally—excluding free trial.

To honor the momentous occasion, the FINAL FANTASY XIV development team played host to a 14-hour live broadcast and invited viewers along for the ride. The broadcast featured the 31st installment of the ‘Letter from the Producer LIVE’ series where producer/director Naoki Yoshida showcased upcoming game content, discussed and addressed fan feedback, and more.
In this episode, Yoshida introduced and explained in detail all the content for Patch 3.4, “Soul Surrender,” releasing on September 27. The new patch includes new main scenario quests, dungeons, trials, the final stage of the 8-player raid Alexander, and more.

The third anniversary also continues in-game with “The Rising” seasonal event, a celebration of remembrance, featuring fun activities and exciting in-game rewards for players to enjoy. Detailed information is available on the official website.

With the release of Patch 3.35 last month, introducing millions of Eorzeans to the title’s first Deep Dungeon, FINAL FANTASY XIV continues to deliver the best of the FINAL FANTASY experience to the online realm. The game continues to deliver a plethora of content to its growing and engaged community through frequent updates, including the recent collaboration with LEVEL-5 to welcome characters from YO-KAI WATCH into the world of FINAL FANTASY XIV.
