Roll7 was set up in 2008 by John Ribbins, Simon Bennett and Tom Hegarty as a sister venture to Youth Multimedia Training company RollingSound.
After making a series of games powered by the NeuroSky BCI Headset from 2009-2011, Roll7 set about making their very own game for IOS and Android – Gets to the Exit.
In 2013, Roll7 made the 'end of days' decision to shut down the gun for hire side of what they were doing. With only enough savings to last until Xmas, a small dedicated team in Deptford, SE London focused on retro skateboarding title OlliOlli; a self-published game for Sony’s Playstation VITA.
In 2014, Roll7 doubled-down with simultanious production of both OlliOlli2 and NOT A HERO.
2015 was a massive year for the team, with OlliOlli2 resting at a chart topping 86% on Metacritic and NOT A HERO receiving rave reviews and immediate cult status. Roll7 won a BAFTA for best Sports Game for OlliOlli and received the Develop Best Micro Studio award.
