is a procedurally generated survival exploration game set on an earth-like planet.
The player is dropped in at a random location without clothing, water or food and they must gather supplies from the environment to craft equipment, clothing and weapons before venturing forth. Alternatively they could gather resources and build a camp-site and try to keep it secure from outsiders. At the end of the day, its your story. Survival will come down to your ability to build a home, gather supplies to endure the incoming winter and find enough water to overcome the summer heat.
EarthFall started its development in mid-feburary 2016, when Danny Goodayle started to live-stream his development of a prototype (at the time called Blocky Heist). He has set himself the deadline to have a fully functional prototype ready for a public release by the end of 30 days. Initially the feature set was quite small, a hand made level (256 x 256) where players could gather resources and survive the winter, however after creating the base of the game in the first 10 days his twitch audience began asking for more and more features. By the end of the 30 days he had made a fully-featured, procedurally generated, multiplayer survival game which launched to overwhelming positivity (he almost broke down on stream, it was adorable). Since its launch we've been hard at work, streaming daily (weekdays 9-5 GMT) working on more content and fixing whatever issues our community spot. We don't hide any aspect of its development, ensuring that we are completely open with everything, even the financials. Our next patch, 0.4, releases the 31st of March and so far includes infinite procedural worlds, new biomes, updated character customization, better combat, in-game chat and admin commands plus a bunch of other little tweaks we've made during the stream.
