is a not-free-to-play team-based shooter with huge maps made of Minecraft-style blocks that you can destroy and build with as you please.
The cartooney online multiplayer shooter is a combination of 5V5 team-based first-person action and strategic construction. Teams build defensive and offensive emplacements before attacking the enemy base.
Each of its cartoon-archetype characters has a different selection of special blocks that help out the team in different ways - mines to protect the bases, radars that you can hide in underground tunnels to see when enemies are approaching, various turret-like constructions. Each team gets a couple of minutes to fortify their base before the shooting starts.
Block N Load features destructible multiplayer environments that can change dramatically during the course of battle.
There are six classes currently, which combine standard assault / defence / support roles with various comedy archetypes. Six heroes are available, including Cogwheel, a weapons-obsessed robot, who fills the tank role; Mexican ninja O.P Juan Shinobi, who can place respawn blocks; and Doctor Eliza Doolally, who likes chemistry. On top of their abilities, each character can use a variety of weapons, including mines, force fields, bounce pads, glue tiles, turrets, and "giant bombs."
The game is in development for PC and enters beta in December, which you can register for now at blocknload.com and the full game will be released next year.
