Tom Phillips from Eurogamer is trying to find out if the game will meet the expectations of numerous fanbase.
The game should be returning more to the original idea with favourite heroine Claire Redfield and Moira Burton, the daughter of Resident Evil veteran Barry. You will be playing for of them and using their positions, switching roles and helping each other is one of the main aspect of the gameplay.
You can switch to harder difficulty with low ammount of ammo around and you will die more often.
Of course you will go through the ruins of the jail with both characters. But as Tom says the feeling of the "true" Resident Evil is not really there. Monsters will be leaping out from behind closed doors or around corners too often and the slowly intensifying atmosphere is simply not present.
It could be because of the shorter episodes which simply cannot use the game as one piece but give it to you piece by piece every week. Each episode will last between 2 to 3 hours. In total you should get 10 to 12 hours of scary game in 4 weeks.
Will Revelations 2 put the series back on track and clearly define its future? We will see...
