Titanfall 2 is the sequel to the Xbox One launch title, Titanfall, a science fiction first-person shooter set during a time of civil conflict, as well as being the forefront for a drastic change on the battlefield; the inclusion of mechanized suits used by specially trained pilots to lay waste to their opposition.
In a recent trailer released by Respawn, they discussed their vision with the single-player story mode, and how they don't want to spend the entire narrative talking about politics and interplanetary conflict, but rather include a more personal view of the events.
The player will take the role of Jack Cooper, a rifleman in the Militia, becoming friends with a rather reckless pilot who meets an unfortunate end. In his place, you become the pilot for his suit, named BT, and are tasked with completing their goal.
"Focusing a little warmth in his cold robotic-ness... The bond between Jack and BT was one of those "ah-ha" moments in development"
