Robot Zoo Games are hard at work on Relic, their first title and a first-person story-focused game.

Summoned from Earth and left stranded on a distant planet not too different from our own, there is only one path home: exploration. Unravel the planet's mysteries, gain or disregard the trust of its residents, and uncover your powers, both without and within.

An intense, first-person narrative experience, Relic aims to leverage the unique possibilities VR technology creates, to push story-experiences one step further. Become immersed in a beautifully developed fantasy world, and experience the inhabitants’ complex struggles and needs. Develop deep relationships with your new-found companions in a game that explores themes of friendship and loss.

Inspired by games such as Firewatch and Journey, exploration plays a large part in how you uncover the planet’s history. As you progress through the game, you’ll gain new abilities that allow you to shape the environment in order to reach new locations. Relic’s gameplay will be heavily involved with the narrative at any one moment, creating an emotional synergy of game design.

Relic is one of the first story-driven games built, from the ground up, with VR in mind. Seamless visual design means that all UI is in-game, making for an immersive narrative experience. Relic will, however, also be playable without VR.
