An anonymous 4chan user may have leaked the possible name, release date, and launch lineup for Nintendo's upcoming NX console.
According to the post, the company's newest hardware revision will be called the Nintendo Focus and will be revealed at a special event this September 21. The Focus, derived from another rumor that it will be a portable home console hybrid that Nintendo won't have to divide its focus on, will be announced for a March 10, 2017 release.
The user goes on to mention launch games that will include Super Smash Bros. for Focus, Super Smash Bros. Melee HD, Pokemon Gold and Silver for the system's Virtual Console, F-Zero^2, and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Smash Bros. for Focus will supposedly include all 3DS and Wii U content as well as Wolf, Ice Climbers, Pichu, and Shovel Knight characters. F-Zero^2 will also be developed by Retro Studios.
Though this rumor may seem far-fetched at first blush, it does follow other sources that have claimed an NX event in September, as well as adhere to the March release date that Nintendo set out for themselves. Furthermore, speculation of a remastering of Super Smash Bros. Melee and a Game Of The Year Edition of Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS has been circulating for some time now.
Fans everyone will have to patiently wait and see what next month has in store for them. A Sony PlayStation event is currently lined up for September as well.
