Dishonored 2 is coming soon and the franchise is now getting a comic book adaptation along with a new prose novel series by Titan Comics.
According to Newsarama, the story of Corvo will continue with a "throwback industrial setting," taking place between the first Dishonored and this year's upcoming sequel. The series is being written by Gordon Rennie and illustrated by Andrea Olimpieri and Marcelo Maiolo.
"Twelve years have passed since Corvo Attano scuppered the Lord Regent’s duplicitous plot against the crown and cleared his name of the Empress Jessamine’s murder," Titan Comics' plot description reads. Now our hero "sets his sights on the future and securing an apprentice to continue his legacy," but inevitably finds himself pulled back into "an otherworldly conspiracy" after running into "an impossible face from his past."
The comic series is aid to be released sometime during August along with a "collected edition" in November. Titan's book division is releasing the first installment in a trilogy of novels in September. The first book is called Dishonored - The Corroded Man and is being written by Adam Christopher.
The upcoming Dishonored 2 game is a sequel to the highly praised original Dishonored game and is being developed by Bethesda Softworks and developer Arkane Studios and is set to launch on November 11, 2016
